Who each one fits
Badger Maps fits a rep or a small team that wants to start this week. You can sign up alone, try it for 14 days and pay month to month. Its pricing page leads with the rep's day: route optimization up to 120 stops, native mobile apps, talk-to-text notes and mileage reports. Manager tools such as dashboards and account assignment start on Business.
Map My Customers fits a field team of five or more that buys through a sales process. The 5, 10 and 35-seat minimums make that clear. Its higher tiers add manager and coaching tools: Field View playback of a rep's day, goals and contests, an AI field agent and executive summaries.
Both sync both ways with the big CRMs. Badger lists Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho, Pipedrive, monday.com, NetSuite and more. Map My Customers lists two-way sync with Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics and Zoho, a NetSuite ERP connection, CSV import and a public API.
Before you buy seats: what a spreadsheet already does
Many teams comparing these two only need two things today: see where the accounts are, and plan a sensible route for tomorrow. Both jobs work from a CRM export in Google Sheets.
The free InstaMaps add-on puts every row on a filterable map, and =VISIT_ORDER() and =ROUTE_LINK() turn a list of stops into a visiting order and one Google Maps link. For a one-off day, paste the stops into the free 100-stop route planner. If your list has street addresses but no coordinates, the free batch geocoder adds them.
What you give up: native mobile apps, live CRM sync and rep activity reporting. If you need those, buy Badger Maps or Map My Customers. If you are not sure yet, run a month on the free tools and see which gaps you actually hit.
