Saw one of our maps? Make your own: paste your places, one per line, and they land on a map in seconds. Then ask it the questions we ask in the videos: which place is the most remote, and what's within a few miles of a spot.
Quick answer
To make a map from a list, paste up to 100 addresses, cities or places below, one per line, and press Make my map. Each one gets a pin. Find your most remote place, or draw a circle around any spot to see what's inside it. Free, no signup. For a whole spreadsheet, the InstaMaps add-on does the same with formulas.
Got a whole spreadsheet?
InstaMaps puts this in Google Sheets: =GEOCODE places every row, =INSTAMAP draws the map, and =CLOSEST_TO and =WITHIN_RADIUS answer these questions for thousands of rows. Free, no API key.
Every map from the channel, live, with every location as a spreadsheet you can download.
Yes. Paste up to 100 places at a time and map them free, with no signup. A live map link you can share asks for your email once.
Anything with a location: full addresses, cities, landmarks or ZIP codes, one per line. Add the city and state if a name could be in two places ("Springfield, IL").
For each place, the page measures the straight-line distance to its nearest neighbour in your list. The place whose nearest neighbour is farthest away is the most remote. It's the same idea as our McFarthest video, which found the spot in America farthest from any McDonald's.
Yes. The free InstaMaps add-on for Google Sheets geocodes every row with =GEOCODE, draws the map with =INSTAMAP, and answers the same questions with =CLOSEST_TO and =WITHIN_RADIUS for thousands of rows.
