PNG downloads are 256×256 with a transparent background — the size Google My Maps and most map tools expect for custom icons. With motion selected, the SVG download carries the animation inside the file (plays in any browser or <img> tag — no player library needed); PNGs are always the static frame.

How to use these as custom pins in Google My Maps

  1. 1Download the PNG version of any pin above (My Maps wants PNG, not SVG).
  2. 2In My Maps, click a pin's style bucket, choose "More icons", then "Custom icon", and upload the PNG.
  3. 3Doing this for a whole spreadsheet of locations, one by one? That's the exact chore our free geocoder + live map skips — paste your list, get a branded pin map in one go.

FAQ

Are these map pin icons really free for commercial use?

Yes. Use them in client work, apps, print, whatever. Attribution is welcome (a link to this page) but not required. The only thing you can't do is resell the set as-is.

Do the PNGs have a transparent background?

Yes — 256×256 with full transparency, which is what Google My Maps, Leaflet, MapLibre, and design tools expect.

Can I get them in my exact brand color?

Type your hex code in the color box above — every icon recolors instantly and downloads in that color. The SVGs are single-fill, so they're trivial to recolor in code too.

What are the shapes for?

The teardrop is the classic map pin. The circle badge sits better on dense maps (no tail pointing at the wrong building). The rounded square reads as a button — good for legends and UI.

Want the map to go with the pins?

Paste a spreadsheet of addresses into the free geocoder and get a live, branded pin map — these icons' storefront style included.
